FlightScope recently demonstrated its outstanding
precision and accuracy at the European finals of the RE/MAX Long Drive Championships of Europe staged at Amsterdamse Bos, Amsterdam
8/9th September. A specialist team from EDH Sport located a state of the
art tracking system consisting of 3 Cheetah radar sensors on the tournament
tee recording hundreds of competitive drives including that of 2007 European
Champion Patrik Andersson who drove his golf ball an amazing 324 metres.
The wining statistics recorded by FlightScope were made
available to spectators/ viewers in real time through integration with
the television broadcast displayed on large screens and through the Eurosport
broadcast. In addition two FlightScope Kudu indoor/ outdoor flight monitor
systems were utlised in the players practice nets allowing players to
see specific shot parameters in practice before the tournament itself.
