The Company
EDH was founded in 1989 and is situated in Stellenbosch, near Cape Town
in South Africa. EDH is a technology based company and specializes in the
development and manufacturing of 3D tracking radar systems around three
core technologies, namely microwave electronics, digital signal processing
and digital image processing. All development and manufacturing is done
in-house and the products are EDH's own designs with no intellectual property
dependency on any third party.
The company is privately owned, with its founder and main shareholder Mr.
Henri Johnson continuing to provide the innovation that has provided EDH
with its technology advantages in a world market.
HBD Venture
Capital, founded by Internet billionaire Mr. Mark Shuttleworth, has
recently invested in EDH to assist in making a bigger impact on the international
sport arena. HBD invests in early stage South African companies which displays
true, undisputed global potential and then offers them strategic direction
as well as business, marketing and commercialisation support.
EDH was the proud winner of the Top Technology 100 Minister's Award in 2005
for overall technology excellence in small and medium enterprises.
EDH’s R&D and manufacturing is based in Technopark in Stellenbosch,
South Africa, while its UK subsidiary EDH Sport Limited provides sport products
and services worldwide.
A strong distributor network provides sales and support of FlightScope in
North America, UK, Europe and the East.
